Construye 2020+ is co-financed by European Union through the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
In the period 2014-2020 and through the implementation of three pillars, it contributes to tackling the main social challenges, promoting industrial leadership in Europe and reinforcing scientific excellence. The available budget will amount to €76.880 billion. The strategic objectives of Horizon 2020 programme are as follows:
- Creating a science of excellence, which will strengthen the EU’s position on the world scientific scene..
- Developing technologies and their applications in order to improve European competitiveness.
- Researching into the major issues affecting European citizens.
