Construye 2020+ extended until December 2021

The European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has extended the end date of Construye 2020+ until 31 December 2021

Construye 2020+ was scheduled to close in June, but after more than three years of multidisciplinary partnership, the project has been extended until the end of December 2021, so that it can provide a satisfactory response to the new post-pandemic situation affecting the sector and training.

The outbreak of the Covid19 crisis at the beginning of last year in Europe has changed both the economic and social circumstances, affecting all aspects of our daily lives and, of course, the development of European projects. It is for this reason that the partnership has found it necessary, with the approval of the EASME, to extend the closing date of the project, in order to try to continue with the progress of the project in optimal conditions to ensure the exploitation of the results and the expected public impact.

Construye 2020+ Route

Thanks to this extension, work is ongoing on a new approach to the Construye 2020+ Route. In this way, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, as the project’s coordinating organization, seeks to take training in ‘green’ employment to every corner of Spain, in an original manner that will not go unnoticed..

Together with this entity, the rest of the partnership: Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja of the CSIC, Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo (Fundae), Instituto Nacional de las Cualificaciones (Incual) under the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, Centro de Investigación de Recursos y Consumos Energéticos (Circe) and  Instituto de Robótica y Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (IRTIC), attached to the University of Valencia; are working in a coordinated manner to improve the qualifications of professionals in the sector and make them more competitive in the labour market.
